SPRING 2021 SEASON

As you may know our state governing bodies have not yet made a formal announcement regarding spring sports. However, with the positive trends as well as the removal of sports risk classifications by the NFHS, we are optimistic that things are moving in a direction that will allow the kids to have a lacrosse season this spring.

We encourage you to register your players now to help us begin planning for the number of teams we will be able to field. We will not be collecting any fees or requiring US Lacrosse membership until AFTER the season is confirmed to move forward. If the season is confirmed we will prompt you to return to registration and enter a current US Lacrosse member number and pay for the season.

We are committed to the safety of our players, coaches, and all family members. We will follow all guidelines provided by the State of Connecticut, the town of Tolland, US Lacrosse, our CVYL and CVGYL governing bodies, as well as any other safety protocols we feel are appropriate. Details on the protocols and guidelines will be provided as soon as they are available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are excited to see everyone on the lacrosse fields again soon.

In recognition of what could be a somewhat abbreviated game schedule as well as the current restriction on tournaments, we are charging the following reduced registration fees.

Boys Bantam, Junior, and Senior Teams: $160

Boys Lightning: $75

Girls Bantam, Junior, and Senior Teams: $160

UNIFORMS for the Spring 2021 season

  • Uniforms will remain the same as those purchased in the Spring 2020
  • Uniform Sizing Chart tab available above
  • Lightning players - NO uniform needed
  • New to Tolland Lacrosse Bantam, Junior and Senior players will need to purchase a uniform ($55) during registration.
  • First Year Bantam Players will need to purchase a uniform ($55) during registration.
  • Returning Players who bought the Spring 2020 uniform may chose either option below
    • use their Spring 2020 uniform
    • purchase a new uniform if needed for sizing ($55)​ during registration 
  • Returning players who did not buy their Spring 2020 uniform may​ chose either option below
    • ​purchase their uniform from Spring 2020 ($35) during registration

Come Try Lacrosse Clinic

Girls: Grades 1-8

Boys: Grades K-8

New and current lacrosse players welcome!

New players: Come try a fun sport. No equipment required, loaner lacrosse sticks available.

Current players: Join us to knock the rust off and BRING A FRIEND to learn lacrosse and grow the sport!

 

Date & Time: Saturday, March 6th, 10-11:30am (Rain date: March 7th)

Location: Tolland High School back parking lot

Equipment: No equipment required. Lacrosse sticks are available for loan.

 

This clinic will introduce new players to the fun and exciting game of lacrosse, and allow current players to knock the rust off their skills and bring a fiend to learn lacrosse. Participants will work on the lacrosse fundamentals of cradling, scooping, passing, catching and shooting through stick-in-hand fun activities.

 

Safety: All players, coaches and spectators must wear masks. Spectators are asked to maintain social distance. Drills and activities will be designed to maintain as much distance as possible.

2021 Spring Lightning Boys Grades K to 2

The Tolland Lacrosse Lightning Program is designed to introduce newer players in grades K-2 to the sport of lacrosse in a fun environment that focuses on fundamental lacrosse skills and team work. Required equipment can be found under the Equipment tab above. Some used beginner equipment may be available for loan. Lightning players will use a reversible pinney provided by Tolland Lacrosse for any scrimmages. This pinney must be returned at the end of the season.
